Medication Management
Crossroads for Women offers psychiatric evaluations with one of our two consulting psychiatrists. Typically this happens when a client is already engaged in treatment with a clinician. When appropriate, our psychiatrists may prescribe psychiatric and/or anti-craving medications to clients admitted to one of our treatment programs and conduct follow-up visits to monitor the clients.
Crossroads for Women may also collaborate with a client's personal care physician if a client is getting her medications elsewhere, providing appropriate counseling. Believing that medication management can only be effective with counseling support, Crossroads for Women does not provide medication without treatment.
