Counseling Services

Crossroads for Women's Outpatient Program offers individual, couples, family and group counseling and education with flexible hours Monday - Friday in Portland, Maine. Clients meet with an individual licensed clinician and may participate in one or more specialized groups for women in recovery from substance abuse and/or mental health issues.

A number of unique, women-only therapy groups are offered, covering such topics as early recovery, medical aspects of addiction, trauma and substance abuse, sober parenting skills, relapse prevention, depression, anxiety, sexuality, maintaining treatment gains and issues unique to professional women. All clients participate in treatment planning geared toward individual needs and goals, which also identify the anticipated length of treatment. If necessary, clients are referred to other community services and/or treatment providers.

To access services at Crossroads for Women, visit our Portland outpatient office during walk-in hours any time between 8:00am – 10:00am, Monday – Friday. Some insurances may require an appointment.
